Rimell Associates was established in 1997 and has provided high quality training, audit support and security reviews for a large number public and private sector clients. Our Senior Director Steve Rimell is CIPFA and IIA qualified, and has over 25 years experience in the audit of IT systems. His experience covers operating systems, applications, network and Internet security reviews for organisations ranging from small UK local building societies to large multi-national corporations. We provide a wide range of audit support and technical services, including:
- Training in specialist IT areas, such as Windows XP/2000/2003 and Vista, Novell Netware, Unix, Oracle and SQL Server, including provision of ‘in-house’ and public training courses for private clients, and public courses for local audit groups and for our partner organisation, MIS Training Institute.
- Network security reviews, including external testing of Internet connection security, and security reviews of LAN and WAN infrastructures.
- Operating system reviews of Windows and Unix systems, to ensure they are secured and configured to provide an adequate standard of control and security.
- Technical support for under-resourced internal audit sections
- Reviews of developing IT areas, such as client/server architectures, multi-tier web enabled systems and Windows Active Directory deployment.
